Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH)
EcoRES improves community access to clean water and sanitation and builds local hygiene capacity—work that includes emergency public-health response (e.g., its COVID-19 Water Aid program) as well as longer-term training.
What this service includes:
- Water infrastructure delivery — installation of water storage and access systems (tanks, stands, distribution set-ups) for institutions and communities, as delivered through the Water Aid COVID-19 response program.
- Hygiene training programs—practical, hands-on training such as soap-making, run in partnership with organizations like Peace Corps.
- Sanitation service access—supporting communities and schools to gain reliable access to sanitation facilities and services.
- Awareness and behavior-change education—hygiene promotion designed for schools, community groups, and youth.
Who it's for: schools, local communities, NGOs, and public-health partners.
How EcoRES Works (cross-cutting approach, useful for an "Our Approach" section)
- Training—vocational and technical courses, entrepreneurship development, participatory practical learning.
- Consultancy & Business Development—equipment development/deployment, renewable energy installation, alternative livelihood promotion.
- Research & Development — sector studies, on-farm research, market research, agroforestry, and clean-cookstove innovation.
- Sustainable Rural Development—scaling proven practices, community-led development, climate mitigation, and food-security work.
